PS Aden Millah Leads the Department in Singing the Cascading Performance Contracts for the Financial Year 2025/2026

The State Department for Shipping and Maritime Affairs Principal Secretary Aden Millah has today led the department in signing the Cascading Performance Contracts for the Financial Year 2025/2026 under the 22nd Cycle of Performance Contracting in the Public Service, reaffirming its commitment to accountability, efficiency, and results-driven service delivery.

‎Speaking during the signing ceremony, the Cabinet Secretary for Mining, Blue Economy and Maritime Affairs, Hon. Ali Hassan Joho emphasized that performance contracting remains a critical governance instrument that aligns institutional targets with national development priorities, strengthens transparency, and ensures optimal utilization of public resources. He noted that the cascading approach enhances coordination across all directorates and agencies, fostering a culture of responsibility and measurable impact.

‎The Principal Secretary State Department for Shipping and Maritime Affairs, Aden Millah, reiterated the department's focus on advancing Kenya’s shipping and maritime agenda by strengthening maritime safety and security, enhancing shipping services, expanding seafarer employment opportunities, and positioning Kenya as a competitive regional maritime hub. 

‎The PS noted that these priorities are aligned with Kenya's Vision 2030 and the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA), aimed at driving inclusive growth and sustainable economic transformation.

‎The ceremony was witnessed by the Principal Secretary, State Department for National Government Coordination, Hon. Ahmed Abdisalan Ibrahim, highlighting the Government’s commitment to coordinated and performance-based public service delivery.
